Why we started Neev.
Architecture should feel like a conversation, not a contract.
We started Neev because we kept seeing the same thing. Projects began with genuine excitement and ambitious ideas, but slowly drifted as reality caught up. Budgets tightened. Decisions were deferred. Feasibility questions surfaced too late.
By the end of the process, clients were holding something that looked like their vision, but felt like a compromise.
Neev (नींव) means foundation. And to us, a foundation isn’t just structural, it’s the clarity, trust, and shared understanding before a single wall goes up.
Every decision we make, every drawing we produce, every conversation we have is oriented around one question:
Does the client truly understand what they’re choosing, and do they feel confident choosing it?

Meet the Principal Architect
Ruchi Singhania
Ruchi is a licensed architect in California with over 10 years of global experience across workplace, master planning, and multifamily projects. She has worked with internationally renowned firms including Hassell and Steinberg Hart, leading projects ranging from Google’s North Bayshore Master Plan to permit-ready sets for single-family homes across California.
But what drives her isn’t the scale of a project. It’s the quiet brilliance of a well-placed window. The honest logic behind a net-zero energy calculation. The simple algorithm underneath the most intricate parametric facade. Ruchi believes the best design ideas are almost always the simplest ones, and that a client who understands the thinking behind a decision will always end up with a better building.
That belief is what Neev is built on.
When she’s not thinking about architecture, you’ll find her hosting get-togethers, strumming her guitar on her balcony, or reluctantly being dragged to yet another national park by her husband, and quietly loving it.
She holds a Master of Architecture from UCLA, a Master of Business Administration from Sofia University, and a Bachelor of Architecture from the School of Planning and Architecture in Bhopal, India.
